I DO NOT WANT A BAR OF STEWART LODGE OR PLACES LIKE THAT

I HEREBY CALL FOR A BAN ON MIXTURE OF PEOPLE WITHOUT MENTAL ILLNESS AND THOSE WITH MENTAL ILLNESS IN THE SAME HOME AND I WANT THE PRACTICE BANNED AND OUTLAWED

I have recently moved in from Darwin to Melbourne. But my feelings is not of happiness. I am currently residing in a home with people who have mental illness, and I am strongly against staying where I am residing at the moment.

I completely do not want a bar of staying in the same place where people with mental illness reside and I believe it is very wrong I should be sharing accomadation with people with mental illness.

Deaf people without mental illness should NOT be staying in places with people with mental illness and that is my views. I strongly dislike the timetable I am given when residents must have dinner at 5 pm. I have stayed in homes like this before in Ballarat and Sydney, and I hated it for the same reasons because the staff are trained to deal with people with mental illness and not so trained to deal with people without mental illness.

I would like to see the practice of putting people without mental illness together with people with mental illness banned. It (the mixture) is sending the wrong message to people with disabilities and I am of the view they should not be mixing people without mental illness with people with mental illness. It's a money saving exercise and it should be thrown out. I am calling for the practice of mixing people without mental illness and those with mental illness outlawed and banned.

I am way too independent for that and I do not need to stay in places like Stewart Lodge.

I would much rather live alone in a flat or house of my own without a carer like before and I am very strongly considering looking for a flat in either Melbourne or Darwin. The way I am feeling about that practice I would be happy to consider returning back to Darwin to live if my friends say I am welcome to do so. I am even happy to stay in Melbourne as long as I find a flat of my own.
