HEALTH CARE TAX IS BADLY NEEDED TO BUILD BETTER AD BIGGER HOSPITALS

In a rare move I am willing to pay and support a new health care tax, and I feel that everybody who uses the public health system should contribute some of their money to help pay for new and bigger public hospitals.

The reason why people are not getting the best care possible is because they have not contributed very much to the health system, and I believe it is only fair that everybody not just the taxpayer should contribute to ensuring they get the best health care possible.

The able bodied bludgers will also be required to pay the tax as well even if they have the worst possible excuse to use the public health system. Everyone, even the pensioners will also be required to pay the tax each time they use the public health system.

The tax department, medicare and centrelink together with the health system in the particular state would be able to track down able bodied bludgers who use the health system for all the wrong reasons and should be given the power to impose financial penalties to the bludger who use the health system for all the wrong reasons.

If the public want better and bigger hospitals they should be expected to help contribute to it by paying a health care tax.

If people wanted to avoid paying the tax, they could at least run a much healthier lifestyle and be encouraged to see their GP and to stay out of hospital. People who use private health insurance are exempt from the health care tax.

I wish to stress that a health care tax is not the same as a Medicare levy. At present the Medicare levy is only paid by the taxpayer who works, and I don 't believe it is fair that the taxpayer who works should shoulder most of the burden. I believe that every human being who uses the public health system should contribute by paying a health care tax so they are assured of getting the best health care possible and they could witness better and bigger hospitals.

I would like to see the Medicare levy scrapped altogether to be replaced by the new health care tax.
